Στο πλαίσιο της διεθνούς ημέρας μνήμης του Ολοκαυτώματος, το ντοκιμαντέρ με τίτλο “Jews of Greece” της εκπομπής “Modern Odyssey” με τη Δρα Δέσποινα Αφεντούλη, μιας παραγωγής με το BronxNet, θα προβληθεί στη Δημόσια Βιβλιοθήκη του Nanuet (Nanuet Public Library- διεύθυνση: 149 Church Street Nanuet, NY 10954) της Νέας Υόρκης την Πέμπτη, 25 Ιανουαρίου 2024 στις 7:00 μ.μ.
Σπάνιες πτυχές της Σύγχρονης Ιστορίας ξεδιπλώνονται στο ειδικό αυτό αφιέρωμα που παρουσιάζει η Δρ Δέσποινα Αφεντούλη μέσα από ερευνητικά στοιχεία και τη διήγηση του Λάρι Ρούσο, σκηνοθέτη του ντοκιμαντέρ «Trezoros: Οι χαμένοι Εβραίοι της Καστοριάς», για μια από τις παλαιότερες εβραϊκές κοινότητες στην Ιστορία, τους Εβραίους της Ελλάδας. On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the documentary “Jews of Greece” of “Modern Odyssey” program with Dr. Despina Afentouli that was produced with BronxNet will be screened at the Nanuet Public Library (address: 149 Church Street Nanuet, NY 10954) on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
Rare aspects of historical facts of Modern History will be uncovered through this special tribute that Dr. Despina Afentouli presents via research findings and the narrative of Larry Russo, the documentary director of “Trezoros: The Lost Jews of Kastoria”, for one of the oldest jewish communities in History, the Jews of Greece. The documentary focuses on the Holocaust and the bright examples of compassion and self-sacrifice of those who risked their lives to protect their fellows who were in danger.
